Objects and Reasons
The object of this Bill is to raise penalties for infringements of the Maltese Government Forecast Pools Act, Cap 131, to introduce a legal presumption on the lines of that already in force with regard to betting offences under the Criminal Code, Cap 9, and to render the unauthorised possession of tickets or coupons of foreign forecast
pools subject to criminal sanction.
