The objects and reasons of this Bill are to amend the Environment Protection Act (Cap. 549) to ensure transparency in the proceedings of the Environment and Resources Authority by providing opportunities to the public to participate effectively in the proceedings of the Authority, including access to a review procedure before the Tribunal and to cater for the issuance of emergency orders and to provide for more legal certainty.
