Objects and Reasons
The objects and reasons of this Bill are to amend the Re-Use of Public Sector Information Act in order to transpose the provisions of Directive 2019/1024 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 June 2019 on open data and the re-use of public sector information (recast) into Maltese legislation, by amending a number of provisions in the current Act to be in line with the Recast Directive and by introducing the concepts of high-value datasets, dynamic data and research data.
