The object of this Bill is to provide for the regulation and administration of the affairs of Free Zones in Malta with a view to fostering economic development and the generation of employment in Malta and the determination and regulation of undertakings authorised to carry on activities within any Free Zone, without prejudice to the applicable provisions of the Import Duties Act and of the Union Customs Code.
