The objects and reasons of this Bill are to regulate and monitor the building and construction industry, to make provisions for the planning, management and control of the sector and for the establishment of an authority with powers relative to building and construction and for matters related therewith or ancillary thereto. The Bill also provides for the repeal of Building Regulation Act and any subsidiary legislation thereto and the Building and Construction Agency (Establishment) Order, as well as other consequential amendments to relative legislation.
