ORDERS OF THE DAY
STATE OPENING OF THE TWELFTH PARLIAMENT
PARLIAMENT SUMMONED BY PROCLAMATION NO. V OF 2013
10.45am - Honourable Members assemble in the House of Representatives.
1. Prayer
2. The Clerk to the House reads the Proclamation summoning Parliament.
3. The Clerk to the House reads the results of the General Elections and the Casual Elections.
4. Election of Speaker. The Speaker takes the Oath.
5. Election of Deputy Speaker.
6. The Honourable Members take the Oath or make an Affirmation of Allegiance.
7. The results of the General Election and Casual Elections, Proclamation No. I and Proclamation No. V of 2013 are laid on the Table of the House.
8. A Minister informs the House that the President of Malta will declare in the House of Representatives the reasons for summoning Parliament.
The Sitting is Suspended.
The President and the Speaker enter the House of Representatives and the Sitting resumes.
The Speaker and the Clerk to the House proceed to the Office of the President.
The President declares to the House the reasons for which it has been summoned.
The President leaves the House of Representatives.
9. Notice of motion for the Address of the President in reply to his speech shall then be given.
10. Adjournment of the House.
