The Msida Creek project will plop down a a flyover in the middle of a densely populated city center and further help divide one side of Msida and Ta'Xbiex from the other side of Msida and Pieta for pedestrians. It will also encourage more car use by expanding space for cars and continue making the pollution in the area worse for the residents.

Wherefore I/we respectfully request the House of Representatives to

Consider the Chamber of Architect's alternative plans to instead create an afforested park in the area while rerouting private car traffic from the Skatepark Junction. But allowing Buses as to allow for a faster bus service which will further encourage bus use.

Closing remarks

If Government is serious in wanting to improve quality of life by increasing green space and reducing car use for more sustainable forms of transport, then this must be shown with actions and no excuses should be made. It's not too late to change course before ruining another neighbourhood in sacrifice to traffic flow that never seems to get better for long.
