Speaker Anġlu Farrugia received a courtesy visit from the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia Esti Andayani.

 

Speaker Farrugia and Ambassador Andayani referred to the cordial bilateral relations between Malta and Indonesia, as well as Malta’s EU Council Presidency. The Speaker also mentioned the various inter-parliamentary conferences organised under the Parliamentary dimension of the Presidency.

 

The two dignitaries discussed issues of mutual interest including cooperation in the maritime sector, the study of the English language in Malta, and the setting-up of a friendship group between the two parliaments.

 

The Indonesian Ambassador was accompanied by Counsellor Carolina Tinangon and Second Secretary – Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Rome Aisyah Murtina Allamanda.
