PR170490 - The Speaker of the House of Representatives received a courtesy visit by the members of the Faculty for Social Wellbeing

Speaker Anġlu Farrugia received members of the Faculty of Social Wellbeing led by the Dean of the Faculty Dr Andrew Azzopardi on a courtesy visit.
He emphasised that social justice, equality of opportunities and inclusion are to be the key issues in the lives of the present generations and those to come as this is in line with the Faculty’s main objective. Speaker Anġlu Farrugia continued by emphasising that these key elements abide with the principle of transparency.
On the other hand, Dr Azzopardi, stressed that the politicians should refer to the studies carried out by experts in various fora so as to assert a better outcome with regard to legislations concerning the well-being of people. The Speaker replied that “all related reports are to be handed to him for parliamentary consumption.”
