The object of this Bill is mainly to provide for the better representation of the private sector on the Executive Board of the National Tourism Organisation. The bill also aims at removing doubt which may have been caused by section 5 of the National Tourism Organization (Amendment) Act, 1986, as to the power of the Minister to fix contributions payable to the Organisation, besides effecting other amendments necessary for the better functioning of the organization.
