PR1547 - THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, THE HON. ANĠLU FARRUGIA EXPRESSES HIS SUPPORT TO THE PRESIDENTS OF THE TWO PARLIAMENTARY CHAMBERS OF ALGERIA FOLLOWING THE VIOLENT EARTHQUAKE WHICH STRUCK THE TOWNS OF ROUIBA AND BOUMERDES IN ALGERIA

In a communication sent to HE Dr Mohamed Larbi Ould Khelifa, Speaker of the National Assembly and HE Abdelkader Bensalah, President of the National Council (Upper Chamber) of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Hon. Anġlu Farrugia, on behalf of the Maltese Parliament, expressed his full support and solidarity following the violent earthquake which yesterday struck the towns of Rouiba and Boumerdes, 25 km from Algiers.
Attached are copies of the letters sent to the Speaker of the National Assembly and to the President of the National Council (Upper Chamber) of Algeria.
